'00 Concorde wont start! Need help. Engine Codes.
I'm making this post for a friend. He has a 2000 Chrysler Concorde. Unsure of miles right now.
His car wouldn't start after a visit to a store. I read his engine codes and got the following:
P1684 - Battery Disconnected Within Last 50 Starts
P0123 -Throttle Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit High Input P0123 Throttle Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit High Input : OBD-II Trouble Code
P0113 -Intake Air Temperature Circuit High Input - OBD-II Trouble Code: P0113 Intake Air Temperature Circuit High Input
... his battery died from trying to start it, so I assume that is the P1684 code.
Apparently the shop told him it is something inside of his engine that is wrong, and it would be really expensive to fix as they'd have to tear the engine apart. To me, those engine codes don't say something inside of the engine is broken/bad... My friend isn't a "car guy", and doesn't know much about this stuff (thus the lack in good details).
While trying to start it, the car WOULD occasionally fire and try to start, but not enough to actually start. I noticed that when he tried starting it, the throttle kept moving like he was pumping the gas pedal rhythmically, but he wasn't touching the gas pedal. I'm not sure if that is normal or not on this car.
Any ideas? I was thinking it might just be bad sensors, but having two sensors both throwing the same code (high voltage), makes me think it might be the PCM that is bad.

I passed with the same experience.cranking but no start.it urned to be a fuse that closes the the ignition circuit.if you tried this possibility and the spark is ok , check the fuel pump relay and then the fuel pump it self.it could have died or has low pressure.if that is also ok, try to ckeck for electric pulse at the injectors .if every thing is fine and still no starting , go for cylinder compression test
good luck
good luck
