1993 Concorde 3.5L fan wiring?
HI,
I have a '93 3.5L Concorde. The electric fans do not run. I tested the fans by applying 12v directly to them and they run. The 10 amp fuse located near the steering wheel, labeled "cooling fan", is OK. So, somewhere between the fuse panel and the fans is a problem. Any suggestions where to look next? Without the fans the car overheats in hot weather if it sits idling for any length of time. I removed the thermostat and it runs cooler going down the road but still gets hot when idling. I see a "power in" wire bundle going to a junction block ( I assume this is a temperature sensing unit) just below the fans. From this junction there is a power lead to each fan. It looks like three wires going into this junction block and three wires out to one fan and two wires out to the other fan. Why 3 wires? All help will be appreciated.
