1999 lhs bcm.

I know this is old and your LHS is probably not an issue at this point, I'm mostly replying to help others with the same problem. Since it won't do you or me any good to say something smug, condescending, and useless like "this is a car computer not a HOME PC it won't work like that".
Some answer from a Chrysler tech.
A real answer: (2 ½ years late) Unfortunately you can't reset your BCM. They can be rebuilt if you have a rare car w/ hard to find parts. But for an LHS you can get a salvaged BCM on the cheap from a junk yard or eBay. Save your receipt, it may not be the BCM. Also do not reassemble your dash w/out testing it.

I beg your pardon? I believe I made my point pretty clear and it hit home. Not everyone will want a technical answers to which I will be happy to give. 9 times out of 10 they want just a quick fix with out understanding why or what even happened. The ones that truly want to know the results will do there research and take the time to understand on the answer I can give. i don't care to wright out a 5 paragraph for someone that will simply look at it and will not give a crap about it and go to the next place or person that they will ask the same thing until they get an answer to what they want to hear. Hence why he asked how to reset the BCM because some one with limited knowledge of how the system worked told him this is what he needs to do and I can say with 100% certainty that will not fix his issue. Nore will a bcm. Anyone willing to learn something from Techs with over 18 years of experience will definitely get my time and attn on any matter that I can provide assistance to. My or any real techs knowledge is not free he or she like anyone else that is proficient in there job took the time to learn it through school, hard work, time on the job and updated training. Ask a meadocker question looking for a cheap trick answer u will get one.
