Default 2002 3.5 HO into a 2000 LHS HELP!!!!

What do i have to do to make a 2002 3.5 HO engine work in a 2000 chrysler LHS? i purchased the engine to replace my 3.5 the guy that sold it to me said it was out of a 1999 300M turns out that the bar code on the engine's date is that of a 2002 engine, I have removed the other engine and installed this 2002 engine, and i cannot get it to fire, I had to swap out the harness from the 2000 into the 2002 and also installed the egr valve into the 2002 block, changed the coil packs and the injectors and still no start, im stumped, is there any possible way to make this engine work? of am i out of some cash and time on this project? i apreciate any and all feed back asap, this posting is on 3-2-09

Thanks Dan for all your help, it turns out that the swap is possible and actually fairly easy, the changing over flywheel, cam sprocket, plenum, alternator, vacuum box, o2 sensors, and temp sensor, and it runs perfect.
