2004 Oil pressure light flickers on and off
2004 Chrysler Concorde, 2.7L
I noticed the other day that my oil pressure light would flicker on once my vehicle got up to temp. and I was running low rpm. If I revv the engine, the light went out. I needed an oil change, so I went and got a change. While there the tech said I needed to replace the oil pressure switch (I called autozone, they said there is no such thing on my car, that I have a cam pressure sensor, but no oil pressure switch.) Its a $30 part that I needed to replace. There was oil leaking from there. I planned on getting it the next morning and fixing it. The next morning I was driving down the highway, and next thing I know my car starts shifting into lower gears, back and forth, then droped to a lower gear, and finally completely shut off while driving 70mph. Once stopped, the engine started pouring out smoke, but the thermostat gauge hadn't moved. Opened the hood, and it sounded like the engine was cooking. I have read so many forums now, I'm really confused what my issue is, and where to start on the repairs. Can someone Help?

Your engine has an "oil pressure switch" (AZ P/N PS278) that is prone to leak and cause the light to flicker at idle.
Your loss of power, shifting, stall and cooking does not sound good.
Does it still run? Check all fluid levels? Miles and maintenance history?
Making unusual noises?
Need more info to help.
