Question 99 concorde lxi hiway probs.

99 concorde lxi 3.2l v6 auto tranny. drives fine as a matter of fact beautifully. my wife goes to work about 30mi away at hiway speeds. car shutters, then runs really rough shakes the whole car, loses power slows down then shuts down. try to start and does not until about 10min. later then the chck engine lght goes off and car runs fine again. 140k on the car never out of state. and well maint.bought used 1 owner at 73k no probs whatsoever.

It's been towed 3 times I was told that it showed misfire on cyl. 2&6 got a tune up $350 it did it again.

i was told it was a mis fire changed the plug boots 2-3 were burned $179+100towing it did it agin

I was told the mechanic couldn't figure it out after almost $600 and 3-4 breakdowns

OHHH and when it goes back to running fine it does not do it again for about 1-4months thinking of putting on Craigslist but would like to give it one more try IF not too expen.

everything works leather everywhere beautiful car.

the car did not do this until after I finished paying for it the dealer had one of those devices on it that will not allow the car to start until the payment is paid and then you put in a 4digit code every month then the computer recognizes the code turns green and allows the car to start IDK where or how he had it connected. Could this be the prob?

No I was not told of any other codes just the ones I told you. i'm getting really frustrated the car drives excellent local but I'm nervous about driveing more than 40mi on hiway. I heard about might be wrong spark plug length could this be legit.

u will need tools on hand when the misfire is doing its biz
volt meter or test light any other codes because a misfire wont shut down the car and not make it start back up.
