Default Air bag light with blasting horn....help!

Several months ago the airbag light on my 95 Concorde came on. At first it would come on when I started the car and go out just like it was suppose to. Then it wouldcome on go out, come back on and go out. Then it would come on go out then come back on and stay on. The next thing that would happen was that the horn would beep on its own.First if I turned the wheel to the right and then it wouldn't matter. It would just blow even going straight. I pounded the center of the steering wheel and it stopped. I finally pulled the horn fuseto control it. I took it to a chrysler dealer and they said that I needed ...horn pad, clockspring & an impact sensor. All installed $1850!!!!!!!!! I said that I would think about it since it is 13 yrs old and 147,ooo miles. After I settled down a little I wondered how much I could replace myself. I looked at my Haynes & discovered that it tells how to replace the air bag in the steering wheel. I found an air bag that included everything that I needed except the sensor.I installed the air bag but since I didn't replace the sensor the light the light did not go out. But I had the horn issue solved.... so I thought. It has started beeping again, so I once again removed the fuse. Will it be necessary to replace the sensor at the same time so that I don't have the horn issue. I was quite proud of myself for being able to replace the airbag w/o setting it off. I located what I think is the sensor & don't think it will be too difficult.
