from 1988 - 1995 I worked in the training develpment center in Centerline, MI. I was part of the instructor group the wrote the original 604 student reference manual along with the curriculum. When the 42LE came out, we carried over the same internal training program since the operation and parts of the 42LE uses the same principles. As with any service manual, there are always errors that can occur. For example, the guys that wrote the service of the 904 trans made an error to torque the valve body bolts to 110 ftlbs when in actuallity is was suppose to be in-lbs. But sometimes $hit happens. The other training programs I was responsible for was new product lauch. I developed the service training curriculum for DRBIII, the 95 talon, and the 'cloud' cars.

Found the problem with the trans it is the solenoid pack (I should have looked at that when I read it a while back). Just though I would put that out there in case other people have the same problem.

Steve350ci,
I have the exact same problem with my 300M. I'm trying to get a schematic for the transmission control module. Note that the 2000 300M schematic is different from the 2002 300m. The 2000 has a transmission control module and a powertrain module that are separate. Apparently they combined them in 2002. So if anyone has the schematic for the 2000 please post it because I can't seem to find it. The car has 200,000 miles on it so I'm not spending a lot of money before I measure the sensors myself.
Good luck

As far as I can tell, with what I have looked up, it is easy to change the solenoid pack and it is best to change it instead of even thinking about rebuilding it. Plus with what I have heard it is real easy to change, it is on the outside of the trans and there are only three or four bolts. I have not changed mine yet, when and if I do (the car is for sale) I will post the results. I also looked up the price for the solenoid pack and it is around $250 to $350.

I have an 03 Concorde LXi which recently was recalled for a limp-in mode that had to do with the exaust system. In turn I had to replace the right side converter( which Chrysler FULLY compensated my money back in the tune of $463.00 due to this recall for the limp-in mode). I took it to my local deal and they reprogramed my computer free of charge. "Knock on wood" it's been 2 years and it runs like the day I bought her. Chrysler has my loyalty as a customer.
