hi, my name is jon, i'm a newb here and a newb with mopar. i just bought a 94 LHS (110,000mi) and my a/c w/ATC will not blow cold. it is charged, and compressor kicks on, i don't have any control of the temp. it blows out constant heat. when auto is pressed, it flashes a few times on the display, then goes out. temp readout and temp adjustment is working on the display. anybody got any ideas? i'm thinking blend door actuator. any help is greatly appreciated.

 

Well, the only help I can give is that the reason the display blinks when you push auto is you have to set the temp to 72 for some reason... Than it'll work with auto... Sorry it's not much info...

 

you told me more than i knew, so it's a help. i thought on my dad's 96 intrepid it would go into auto at any temp, but i don't remember anymore. thanks, anybody else?

 

Gonna put the ATC in diag mode
Set temp to 75 enter diag mode by pressing floor,mix and defrost at the same time. When the panel starts to blink release all 3. The test will make stuff blink. Once the test is finished a number or set of number will be displayed wright them down and get back to me. Only one code at a time will be displayed press the vent button to scroll down and see there is more then one code.
