Default Code retrieval for '94 Concorde

Gentlemen,
I'm a newbie here, so forgive what I'm sure is a pretty elementry question for the veterans here.

GF has a '94 Concorde, with 3.5. Recently having problems with transmission intermitently refusing to upshift from 1st. When she shuts car down for a while, the vehicle resumes normal operation. She claims a check engine light for a few minutes, only one time. Could someone tell me how to get that code? Being a '94 I'm assuming it is OBD 1. Then direct me too a table of what the codes mean? And any suggestions as to what the problem may be?

Alot of questions, but thanks in advance for any help....

Default service codes

If the 94 is the same as the 99 concorde. Set the park brake and cycle the key on and off 5 times ending with the key on and the odometer will cycle thru the service codes. You can write them down and there are several free sites on the internet that list what the codes mean. Search under service codes for 94 concorde and that should get you to a site that explains what they are.

My '94 is no where near similar to a '99, ('93 -'97's are.) It does not have a digital dash, so that won't work.

I'm pretty certain that a '94 would be an OBD I computer. My GM's can have the code read by jumping two pins on the computer diagnostic port under the dash. The "Check engine" light then flashes the trouble code. There is no "scantool" necessary.
I was hoping it might be as simple on the Concorde, but I frankly cannot even find the diagnostic port under the dash. And if I did, I'd still need to know which two pins to jump. Jumping the wrong ones could fry the ECM quickly. Tried the KO-KO deal, no luck there. I'll try running it by the FLAPS tomorrow, and see if they can help.
