engine hydrolocked with oil
i ordered a headgasket, something like march 11th
the weather has been cold for the first half, and raining or trying to rain every day for the second half.
next week is supposed to be rainy every single day too.
today wasnt the first time the engine hydrolocked with oil.
last week, i spun the engine and it didnt rotate much.
i let the thing sit for a few minutes and tried it again and the engine fired up.
but today was different, the oil wouldnt go back where it came from.
first i tried to spin the crankshaft from the pulley bolt, and that loosened the bolt.
so i tightened it again and pulled the plug on the first cylinder.
the spark plug tip was covered in oil, totally filling the gap.
i hit the key and watched the oil and smoke shoot out of the plug hole.
i had a look inside and could see a reflection..!
there was definitely oil in there still.. lol
i put the plug back in and wired up the coil, engine started up and i went to get some food.
anybody have something to say?

I have come to know most of the oil out by sucking it out and also turning the engine upside down. I will pull the oil pan to check for any obvious engine damage. It is a simple case of engine being upside down to do.
