Default EVAP air leak

I posted to the forum a while back about an engine light code 0456 & was told that i have an air leak in EVAP system. I would like to inspect hoses for holes/cracks. Where do i start & which hoses need to be inspected? Thanx 4 ur input

Hello,

Inspect the rubber hoses from the LDP valve which is in the engine bay. These transition to hard plastic in the vicinty of the engine, then turn back to rubber before going below the engine where they turn into aluminum tubing. These run back toward the fuel tank. Focus on the rubber hoses. There should only be 2 that would be suspect. Replace any that are cracked or split. Although I looked at them all, it was the hose directly above the battery that was split. It was about a 5 minute fix (once I bought the hose). Good luck hunting...

HI there , I have engine codes 0440, 0456 and 0441 on my chrysler 300M 2003 Special its been coming on and off , i had disconnected the battery after i bought a new gas cap, as suggeseted by another member on this forum, but the codes came back up again ....is it dangerous to drive the car with the codes on and how else can i get it fixed , the dealer wants to charge 100$ and hour to diagnose the issue and find the leak....he wnats me to keep the car over night i am afraid he will charge me a arm and a leg to diagnose......pls help ,me....................i also have a huge hummm coming off the front wheels......

U will need to look arond the engine and gas tank for split or broken vac lines.
