High pitched squealing is, more often than not, caused by a slipping drive belt. Check your belts and adjust or replace as required. As they get old, they get hard and will fail at the most inconvenient time, so replacement is good insurance.
If you still think it to be an intake leak, take a piece of tubing and hold one end close to your ear, and search the intake manifold with the other. You should be able to find a leak that way.
