How Reliable is the 3.2 L in 2001 Concorde
I am looking at purchasing a 2001 Concorde LXI with 130,000 KLMs and I would like some feedback on first of all, the reliability of the car and secondly the reliability of the 3.2 l v6.
I read not so good reviews of earlier model Concordes.
Your experiences would be greatly appreciated.

I just got a '99 Concorde Lxi with the 3.2 so I had the same questions.
It has 285,000 kms (about 180,000 mi) that's a plus for longevity, I suppose. I also have a '91 3.3 V6 with 340,000 km's (212,000 mi) and still going strong. Not sure of it's history though.
It has a timing belt, that's a minus. Water pump is driven by the timing belt (also bad, but common). Count on replacing the T-belt and water pump IF there is no proof it's been done at 100,000 mi? I'm not sure what the interval is, I didn't get an owners manual, but I think most belts last 100mi/160kms these days. If you push it over that interval - it could go at any time. If the T-belt breaks, the motor is going to get damaged.
I just took out the starter, it's hard to get at (had to loosen the motor mount and jack up the motor a bit to squeeeeze it out) - but I've seen worse. I replaced the copper contacts in the solenoid but it looked OK otherwise and I think it is the original starter, which was working fine except for the click-click occasionally (that's what I just fixed)
I'm still trying to figure out the ignition key situation, I didn't get any keys with it (police auction special) so I'm going to have to make some transponder keys (blanks are $20 on ebay and $80 at the dealer) and get them programmed ($40-55 at the dealer) as well as a remote for the doors. Always have 3 keys and 2 remotes available, that way if you lose your key/remote set you can use the 2 remaining keys and 1 remaining remote to DIY program another set.
The auto climate control in mine is pooched (dead display), but it is easy to take out and the module looks relatively cheap on ebay ($60-80).
