I am buying a 1997 Concorde 3.5L with 128K on it, is there anything i should work on? What are some good things to do to get a little bit more performance out of this engine? what spark plugs work best in the 3.5?

If you haven't already purchased the vehicle, I would recommend not buying. It has a host of issues. Google 1997 Chrysler Concorde issues. You'll be reading for days.

I was not aware of this issue , due to seeing all of the later model concorde's being sold at dealerships and ebay for top dollar. they seem to go for a lot of money?

They're nice looking cars and they go for top dollars. However, I have one that I purchase last year. If I didn't know how to fix cars I would have put thousands in to it already. A lot has been trial and error but be prepared. Transmission issues, electrical issues, overheating issues; you name it.
