00 Chrysler Serbring convertible

Default 00 Chrysler Serbring convertible

my car was suppose to come with a infinity amp for the speakers but didn't. i was wondering if i could run new wire to each speaker straight to my after market HU. And what should i do with the old wires?

because i checked under the passenger seat and it wasn't there. There was just the wires sticking out.

yea but wouldnt it be better to just rewire them so i dont have to worry about later water damage

You'd be best off removing the amplifier completely from under the seat. It's just a hassle and it's not a necessity. Pull out the amp and connect the wires (following a wire color guide so you know where you're putting each one) and splice in the tweeters in the dash. they do not come from the h/u, they come from the amp itself. Don't forget bass blockers, or you'll destroy the dash 3.5"s.

FYI, I drive a '00 Sebring convertible with the same system that I've completely redone myself. If you're looking for good speakers, find the Cadence shallow mount 6x9s on eBay. FANTASTIC speakers at a great price, they sound amazing and are very powerful. I've had them blasting in mine for two years now and they still sound perfect.
