Default DaimlerChrysler Statement in Response to J.D. Power and Associates' APEAL Study!

The two first-place awards for Chrysler Group - for the Chrysler 300 series ("Entry Level Luxury Car") and the Dodge Ram Heavy Duty ("Heavy-Duty Full-Size Pickup") - in the 2004 J.D. Power and Associates Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout (APEAL) Study continues to validate the strides we are making in quality. We also are pleased overall with the performance of the Dodge and Chrysler brands which made improvements of 11 and 12 points respectively -- the most significant gains in the industry for non-luxury brands. In addition, individual vehicles that had solid performances in the study include Dodge Durango, Dodge SRT-4, Chrysler PT Cruiser and the Chrysler Pacifica.

While we look forward to making equally steady and impressive quality improvements in the coming years, we are encouraged by this study as it is another reflection of how Chrysler Group is incorporating the voice of the customer into its products to make the hottest cars and trucks in market.
