Default 06 Sebring Horn problem

Hello, Wife's 06 Sebring Touring 2.7.
Having problem with horn going off at 3-4:00 AM , one long blast 30-40 seconds, only once per night. car doesn't have alarm and horn beep on door lock and unlock is disabled. Seems to be temp. related as it seems to take a temp. drop down to around 20* F or colder to set it off. On colder days it might not go off til it hits 5*F . horn works normally while driving, no problems with horn going off while turning. Changed the relay, didn't help. See lots of posts on the internet of Sebring's with the same or similar problems, but no posts on how they fixed it.
Thanks,

If I had to guess, and it's only a guess, I'd suspect the clockspring. It's a long coiled up wire that allows current to flow to the controls built into the steering wheel. It might be contracting a little in the cold snd shorting out somewhere.
Just a guess.

Thanks for the replies, being such an intermitant, and short event, makes it hard to be there when it happens. But it's suppose to warm up a little next week, so maybe I'll pull the cover off the steering wheel, and see if I can see something. Thanks
