Default '07 Sebring no start issue

Hey guys, new here. You know, new guy that needs help.

I have an '07 Sebring 2.4, and after leaving the movies yesterday, got into the car and started it up. It died 5 seconds later. Now it won't start, it turns over and over, but no firing. I thought fuel pump immediately, but after reading some of the posts here, I've decided to change the crank position sensor.

Do you think this may be the right move, and if so, where is the sensor on this car? There is no Haynes/Chilton that I can find, and the net is worthless here. Thanks for reading and for your help.

108K miles on it, and I don't have access to a scanner, nor can I get it to an auto parts store. Is there some sort of "key dance" that I can do to get codes to show? I had a Concorde that would spit the codes out with the right combinations of key positions.

Thanks for your reply!

So...I went out and tried it after I woke up this afternoon (third shifter), and it started right up. What do I have on my hands now? I'm kind of worried about when this will happen next and want to fix whatever is wrong.

Thanks for the help.

Still good today. I have done literally nothing to the car.

Take it to Autozone and check for codes.

I went directly to Auto Zone when it started, there is no check engine light so they told me they could check nothing.

Thanks for your reply, I just don't want to be in this situation again.

Try a different store. Not all codes will turn on the light.
