2001 wont start without autostart+key, shuts off when brake applied.
just the other morning, i couldnt get my 2001 to start with the key or auto start. when i put the key in, the car makes that dinging noise letting me know the key is in, but as i crank the key up to the on position, the gas does not display nor do any dash lights turn on/radio ect.
but i noticed when i tried to start it with the auto start, that while it is trying to start it, the dash lights and gas guage registers briefly.
if i use the auto start and shove the key in its on position before it attempts to start it will turn on and idle strangely.
car shuts off when brake is applied to shift gears.
anyone know a solution?

Can we assume that your remote starter is an aftermarket device? If so, take this problem to wherever that came from and see if they can figure it out. It's most likely related to that, which nobody here will have any idea about.
