bump - any ideas out there? Is it possible thet the tensioner on the timing chain loosened and threw the pcm out of whack?

Absolutely not.....

How long did it run after you replaced the crank sensor???

maybe 15 seconds _ pulled the new sensor which had some light "scuffs" on it. Replaced with another new one and sitll no spark on 1,4,5, or 6

Edit - when it ran 2 DTC's showed. EGR thats an easy fix since there isnt one. and Cam sensor low output. Wouldnt run anymore. Swapped Cam sensor for the original.... they look slightly different. still nothing

Now we are getting somewhere..........
Disconnect the battery.....or better yet, unplug BOTH pcm connectors for 30 seconds....and make sure the egr code is gone....

Unplug BOTH Cam and Crank sensors, and Key on, make sure you have Reference voltage at both harness connectors....(Not sure if it is 5v or 8v, but it is NOT 0v or 12 v)

Then...plug them in one at a time, while checking the other. Reference voltage MUST REMAIN CONSTANT with both connected.

If not post back and we'll go from there, since it gets way too involved to explain until it is necessary.

OKay - there are three prongs the center being the ground - On both sensor plugs one reads 3.4-3.7 (hand wobble in tight spaces) the other side reads around 6.5. The pcm makes a click when I plug in the cam sensor and you hear the fuel pump turn on.... Hope this gives you some insight.... Now what ?

Okay, thats not what I wanted to hear - The harness is the original from the car - why would the engine not be compatible? I really dont want to tear this thing out again.

"The new motor was an EGR motor so I swapped the intakes and the harness."

So what are you thinkin is the deal? should I try to get a harness for the egr pcm and see if it'll work? When I installed the Crank sensor I could hear it "tink" on the ring for the flywheel. Is it supposed to touch or be just slightly seperated?
