Default 2008 Sebring convertable engine swap question

Hello all

I've got a Sebring 2.7L 2008 that I am looking to rebuild currently. It has approximately 150 000km on the motor and it has seized recently cue to the lack of oil. Since it has the VIN 1C3A4F5R68N276379 and engine number LTA1401356, am I able to replace this engine with an earlier years reman engine? This engine has seized crank shaft on rods 1, 2 and 4 due to insufficient oil from leaking through the main pulley oil seal. Main pulley was jammed stuck when I was trying to remove it from the crank shaft while it was still on the engine. Engine oil pump was a pain when we tried to remove it together with the main pulley still on with the crank shaft.

I am from Singapore and Chrysler parts ain't cheap in this part of the world. I am looking to bring in an older bare 2.7 engine if it'll match up to my VIN "R" 2008 engine. Here are some pictures for the vehicle and the engine.

Only 2007 is likely to be close to your 2008. 2006 and earlier will look quite a bit different.
