Default 3rd Key Fob

I have a key fob that I bought off of ebay. I placed it into a new blank shell and had it cut for my car. I followed the programming instructions to program a third sentry key and couldn't get it to work. It acted like it was trying to work but when it made the beep after I inserted the unprogrammed key fob the indicator lamp never stopped flashing. The car I am trying to program this for is a 2008 Chrysler Sebring Anyone have any suggestions?

All the part numbers are the same. I was reading another programming instruction that I found on the web here and it says that once the key fob has been programmed to a particular vehicle it can't be programmed to another vehicle. I wonder if there is a way to blank out or format a key fob back to the original state, so that it can be programmed again. Anyone know how to do that or heard anything on that?

That's what I always thought too, but I read through the owners manual again and it says once a sentury key is programmed for one vehicle it cannot be used on another vehicle.

Just to make sure I have a good remote and everything I'm going to take it into Autozone and check it on their RF remote sensor they have upfront.

I did try switching the batteries out of one of my working remotes with the one from my new remote and it still works, so the batteries are good.
