AirBags
Have this posted on the tech. forum but know answer. My daughter went off the right side of the road into a ditch and hit a driveway culvert. Damaged the fender and busted the wheel, did not break the bumper cover but the airbags went off. Basically no direct front end damage.
I have gotten airbags at a local salvage and have seen that they came out of a "98 Conv. '96 to '98 drivers bags work and '96 to '00 passenger bags work. Got the control box also. Where are the sensor(s) on the car, I think I found one on the metal bumper crossmember. How do I check to see if this reset? Also, the connector portion of the wire that plugs into the airbag on the steering wheel got fried. I need a new one, is this the "clockspring"? and would a Dodge Stratus one work? Need the passenger side wire also.
Thanks
Chuck
