Just recently the Sebring has ALOT of heat coming from under the dash. The car is not overheating, but man is that heat brutal on my legs while driving. I can also feel heat in the middle console arm rest...

Any idea what it could be?

 

1) What model Sebring is it?
2) Do you have automatic temperature control?
3) Have you set the heater controls properly?

Cat? As in Catalac Converter? SES light? There are no lights on.

Does it seem like there is a fan blowing the heat on your legs? What happens when you adjust the heater controls? Have you changed the HVAC settings?

It sounds (at least to me) like the HVAC is blowing hot air on your legs through the floor registers. If everything is set correctly, then something within the HVAC could be messed up.

 

Since I apparently can't edit posts, try also to turn your A/C on, and see how that affects it.

 

just had similar problem - very hot engine compartment and engine temperature guage show middle of scale. Check EGR valve - seal it off if it helps change EGR valve.

 

That wouldn't explain how the heat is getting through to the passenger compartment though.

I'm still leaning toward something being fuxored with the HVAC system, with it being stuck on heat or something.

Op, if you have the setting on the heater controls, try swapping it to Recirc instead of fresh air. See if that helps at all.
