ASD Relay Information (97 Sebring)
Well, it took a while to find, but old fashioned tenacity (along with a lot of frustration and sweat!) has finally perservered! I found the ASD on my 97 Sebring!!! AND, believe it or not, I think my starting problem may have been resolved with just a cleanup of the connectors.
All of the books and information I could find told me that the ASD was located in the PDC (Power Distribution Center) under the hood. Well, it's not. There is a 30a fuse in there, but no relay. After hunting down a wiring schematic, then tracing down wire colors, I finally found the right combination of wires going into a relay!!! Specifically, I found the relay to be the center of a cluster of 3 relays mounted on the firewall in the engine compartment next to the brake fluid resivoir. 2 bolts, 3 electrical connectors, QD electronics cleaner, and a bit of dielectric grease later (about 30 mins.) the motor starts and runs flawlessly!!
Oh, while the location information is good, I cannot guarantee that the starting problem is actually fixed. The problem I have hunted for during the last month does seem to come and go, following its' own sense of timing. But I am very hopeful! If I've failed here, I'll be back on the post very soon.

OK THANK YOU FOR RESPONDING! 2-21-2012
THAT RELAY IS A 5 PRONG UNIT !On the 97-98 unit.
But !
Since the coil is internal -IE: W/Distributor!
This may be the next step?-[ at $200.00 per distr-,
this does not make me a happy camper!
