Default Battery..

What can I say.. I'm a new member to this forum and for the sole reason that I hope that all of you readers might be able to help me out with my car problem(s). I'm dealing with issues in starting my car every morning. I charge it, it runs, I drive it for a while. The next morning there's a good chance it won't start again. There is a new battery under the hood. I have yet to have my alternator checked and once I do I will make sure to post the results if helpful. But in general, if I don't drive my car for a prolonged period of time the battery will go dead.

I have gotten suggestions that my alternator is bad. I have also gotten a suggestion that I have a short somewhere in my car.. which i suspect is true since a few months before my power locks stopped working. Any suggestions on what exactly might be causing my battery problems?

History of this car
---------------------
5 years ago it was involved in a flood where the engine was flooded
6 months ago it was involved in an accident. only body work was needed. engine was intact
the side molding constantly falls off where it will go for a week without the molding on
the passenger window motor was replaced but still works like crap
on both doors, the key cylinder fell inside the door leaving a wide open hole in my door. this has been fixed
in a given year I will get 5 flat tires
the lower arm joint on the drivers side needs to be replaced.
power locks on car won't operate anymore
belt that worked the A/C snapped off.

thanks for any suggestions!
