Default Battery Access in a 2007 Sebring Sedan ?

The battery inmy daughter's 2007 Sebring sedan appears to be located underneath the engine compartment fuse box and behind the drivers side headlight assembly. It is almostimpossible to see even when you're standing directly over it with the hood open. How in the worlddo you get to this battery to remove it when it's time for a new one?

I just put a battery in my wife's 06 Sebring today. The battery in that car is accessed through the wheel well. I had to jack it up and remove the wheel to get to it. I would bet your 07 is the same. A real swell engineering idea!

Thanks - I'll keep that in mind. You're right - not the best engineering idea....

Sorry you had to replace a battery in a 2006 model - doesn't speak well for the OEM battery. I assume it was under full warranty....

I concur that changing the battery in a cloud car is a pain... as is cleaning and tightening f*cking screw type puny terminals (that were created by GM, I believe).

But it has a seldom recognized advantage: The battery suffers less engine heat in that location, promoting longer battery life.

Mine is a Dodge Stratus Sedan R/T Turbo 2.4 L (only available in Mexico and a delight to own). The Factory battery in my 2002 lasted more than 8 years, and would have lasted at least one more full year should the stupid company guards where I work at forgot to properly close the trunk on a pair of occasions when inspecting it, leaving the small light inside the trunk ON all the weekend, discharging the battery. That battery was made by Johnson Controls and marked as an original Mopar part.
