Default Cut hose/wire, does anyone know what it is?

I have a 2001 Sebring Limited Convertible with the 2.7 V6. I noticed that a very thin hose/wire that is cut and was hoping someone here could tell me what it is.

It looks like it goes up to the front driver headlight/bumper area. My best guess from my shop manual would be the ambient air temperature sensor? If that's what it is, how important is it to have that hose reparied?

Thanks for your help!

Location of hose/wire is on driver side near the ground cable for the battery extension cable. It's to the right of the throttle body intake hose if looking from the front of the car.

This is the small hose that is cut/snapped. It looks like it leads somewhere near the front driver side bumper/headlight.

Wow, that's what my son said it was (he's 14)! I guess I'll listen to him next time.

Didn't even think of putting a new piece of tubing around the 2 parts. I was going to tape it lol!

I hope I have cruise control again! I'll report back ASAP
