disconnect the LU converter?

Default disconnect the LU converter?

05 sebring 2.7 auto 95k,,
can I just run the car with the torque converter unlocked?
rpm goes up 200 but that's not a big problem for me..
hwy and city driving..
if so,, any ideas on how to unhook it..I was thinking on the brake switch?

I told you on your other post.... Keep it under 35 mph and the torque converter should not lock up. That should be enough operating range to test your theory.

thought you being a smart a$$,, sorry,, I will try it,,but I was told that this car has the pwm converter,,, in light throttle the computer will slowly lock up the converter?

well tried you idea,, the converter is locking up @ 28-30 mph under very light throttle on a flat surface,, how I know is,, as soon as it starts to bucking,I depress on the brake peddle and the rpm goes up by 1-2 hundred rpm and the bucking stops, I guess it goes back to the pwm of the lock-up circuitry..
so too me,, it's the converter.. thanks for all you patience with my problem..
now just to see if I can un hook the lock-up without damaging the trans??
