Dreaded P0601 Code just came up

Might be related. Might be another problem, too. The PCM is supposed to increase the idle speed a little when the A/C kicks in to compensate for the extra load. It does that through the idle air control motor which opens up an opening to let more air in to the intake manifold. Your problem could be the computer, or could be the idle air control motor. If you've got a P0601 code, you should probably plan on replacing the PCM anyway.
