Engine stalls at red lights
#11
cleaned the throttle body and ran some seafoam thru the tank, seems to be much better already. and going to change the PCV valve as soon as I have time. Left the Mobil 1 oil in there, and the oil light very rarely comes on now even in the 92 degree heat we have been having, so I'll just stick with the Chrysler recommended oil. Thanks for the help

same here
99 JXI 2.5L
I seem to be experiencing the same with my ride. Runs strong except when I come to a stop it will sometimes wll idle rough, misfire, and even stall occassionaly.
The only error code my car spit out was P0304 - cylinder 4 misfire

Your 2.5L engine is a completely different engine that the 2.7L engine that is the subject of this thread. Rather than trying to wake up old threads that have been idle for over a year, you are better off starting a new one.
Anyway, if you have spent much time browsing threads on this forum regarding your engine you may have noticed that most of the problems with the 2.5L engine wind up being traced back to the distributor. It's an expensive assembly to replace so if I were you I'd make sure you have dealt with the plugs and ignition wires first. They are much cheaper. While you're digging around in there check the fuel injectors too. Pay special attention to cylinder #4 (middle cylinder on the front bank) since the computer is pointing you there.
Check the PCV valve while you're at it.
