Hey y'all
Newbie here. I have a question, stupid as it may be. I have an 04" Sebring Ragtop with the 2.4 V6 in it. My wife drives it, she says the heat does not get hot quick enough for her. So I thought I'd replace the t-stat, well, I removed the housing where the radiator hose goes into the intake & I can't see no t-stat?? Where is it?
The housing I removed has 4 bolts that hold it down.
Help. I appreciate any help y'all can give me.

RE: Hey y'all
How was the coolant level before you began? Often the heat is a symptom of low coolant with the thermostat being a less common issue.
BTW, is it the 2.4L I4 engine or the 2.7L V6? The V6 has a thermoplastic housing that contains the thermostat mounted somewhat above the coolant reservoir. There is also a bleed valve there that is used to purge any air out of the system. The thermoplastic housing frequently develops a split and leaks coolant as the car ages causing the air bubble.

RE: Hey y'all
DESCRIPTION - 2.7L
The thermostat is located on the lower left side of engine, near the front. The thermostat is on the inlet side of the water pump. It has an air bleed located in the thermostat flange. The air bleed allows internal trapped air during cooling system filling to be released.
