dcotter,
The machine I was referring to is the one used to service the ac system. He vacummed out the system and it told him how much freon it recovered in ounces. He then simply reversed it and recharged the system and no more vibration. It's pretty wierd, literally nothing else was done. I'll look into the control head replacement but for now it's keeping me cool and thats all that matters!

Thanks again for everyones help. This form is great, many of the same people helped with when I replaced my timing chain.

That makes more sense regarding how he determined the quantity of freon in there. Still, I can't imagine how you would get those symptoms from being one ounce low. Anyway, if it works now, great!
