Default Looking at a 95 Sebring Coupe, no start

I was looking around on craigslist and I found a 1995 Sebring Coupe w/81k. It had been sitting for a while and the seller says it turns over, but doesn't start. She is asking for offers. It has 81k on it with a salvage title. I was curious if it was worth looking into. I once owned a 96 Sebring convertible and it was a blast to drive. The seller isn't mechanically inclined, so she just wants it gone. It does have a new battery. Cranks, but no start. From the pictures, it could also use a new rim and tire, since it has 3 tires and a donut. Thanks for your help.

The coupe is a totally different vehicle from the convertible. Coupes were built by Mitsubishi, convertibles were built by Chrysler.
Any vehicle is a good buy if the price is right. In this case, the price needes to be very low.

The price is $400.00. Interior looks really clean. There are a few cosmetic issues. Part of me thinks it could be a very good deal; if the issue isn't serious.

So you pay $400, then you pay to have it towed to a garage to be gotten into running shape. You pay $???? for repairs and a new tire/rim or whatever. When it's finally up and running, you've got an 18-year-old car with a salvage title.

Go on line and find out what a '95 Sebring coupe with a salvage title is selling for.

If it is going to cost more than that to fix it, your next question is are you willing to go through the hassle of selling the parts. You could make a buck that way if the neighbors don't mind you turning your driveway into a junkyard for a few months.

Personally, $400 seems like a lot for a pig in a poke with a salvage title.

You are probably right. It seems like it could be more trouble than its worth. Plus for a little more, I could find a running Sebring.
