Default Making an 04 Sebring top manual

I want to make my 04 Sebring automatic lift top into a manual lift. Can I do this just by disconnecting the hydraulic arms? Or will I need to do more?

You'll have to get out of the car to pull it up.

Disconnecting the hydraulic cylinders should do it. Make sure you disconnect at the correct end.

Which end is the correct end?

Disconnect the end that attaches to the convertible top frame. Leave the end that's anchored to the body of the car in place. Someday you or a subsequent owner may want to get it working again. Be sure the cylinder is out of the way of the frame as it goes up and down. Secure it in place so it won't rattle or go where it shouldn't.

Awesome thanks for the advice. On my car the cylinders only attached to the frame and had a locking plate that kept them in place so I removed the whole assembly.
