Default New to the forums!!

Hello my name is Kevin I recently just got a 2004 sebring 2.4l sedan. It has 85k on it and here are some pictures. I have done a lot of work on other cars and had a 1998 stratus with I believe the same 2.4 engine a year ago and more recently had a DSM 91 eagle talon tsi that I did some work on and recently sold. I am not too familiar with these cars but would love to learn more.

I have a couple questions first about these cars. Is removing the stock air can OKay? It wont mess anything up, it looks pretty restrictive to me and looks like it could have better flow with it removed??? Also are there any good intakes I was looking on ebay, I had a ebay intake on a car and it worked well but its a hit or miss with ebay.

how is this one?? will it be worth it?

Also I have pics of what it could look liked blacked out and wanted some opinions let me know thanks!

When you remove the stock air filter box, you draw air from the engine compartment behind the radiator. The stock system draws air from the wheel well area, which is, in theory a little cooler. Cooler air is more dense, more oxygen rich than warmer air and will contribute to better combustion.
Also, the air filter is not well retained without the box and could fall off or loosen up.
