Default no spark

Hi all, I hope someone can help. we have a 2000 sebring with
no spark, car stoped running after it threw # 4 spark plug.
I changed distributor, crankshaft sensor, asd relay, all
fuses good, fuel pump working, timing belt good and all
timing marks in line with #1 tdc. no codes with odb scanner.
distributor cap intact with new spark plug wires and plugs. hope some can lead me in some direction with this car Thanks Chuck

Hi, yes my son called me about 3 miles from home, we drove it with no problems. we put in a new plug and then it would not start. the plug did not look too bad and the threads look good and hold tight. also battery is full charged

One spark plug will not stop the car from running. Second how did it just pop out. That's not possible unless it has been messed with. Or took the threads with it. 3rd. See if u are missing spark or fuel

thanks for the reply, as I stated there is no spark good fuel. I think the plug had to have worked itself out till it poped out, threads are still good. also looks no voltage to injectors. thanks chuck

No codes, no spark and no voltage to injectors. Might want to start suspecting the PCM. What engine are we talking about here?

v6 2.5 when we had the intake off we got sensor errors for the tps and intake temp sensor and were able clear the codes with the scanner. so would that mean that the pcm is working ?

It means that part of the computer is working. IF it turns out that you have to replace the computer, search on line for a source. I was able to replace mine with a service that lists on eBay. You give them your VIN and odometer reading and they will ship you a properly reprogrammed computer for about $200. You send them your old one after swapping it out.

Dealer wants over a grand for a new PCM.

I'm not saying that your computer is bad, only that it could be, based on all the other things you have apparently ruled out.

By the way, is there any issue with this car having a history of cheap bank financing? I have heard of some finance companies installing a device to remotely disable the vehicle if the payments are not up to date. Imagine the chaos those things cause years later.
