Default Oil Change every 6000 mi. or 6 months?

That's what the service manual says for my 2009 2.4L Sebring. Is this correct? Is the Dealer using synthetic oil?

The sales guy will tell you it uses synthetic, but the shop will use dino oil when they change it.

I use Amsoil synthetic, and I change it every other time the dash indicator tells me to, +/- a week or two. right now it is telling me to change it (for the 2nd time) and that is after ~35,000kms.

if you are going to follow the change schedule do not waste your money on synthetic
