my 2006 sebring convertiable with 35,000 milesover heated on thursday. it was about 8 below zero. had car towed to chrysler dealer and they cant find anything wrong with the heating system. this is what they did.
added collant
fans came on at 222.8degrees
thermostat operation ok
upper and lower hoses get hot
no leaks
pressure test ok
hvac system is ok
find no faults with lack of heat or air out put
road tested and operation is ok
question is why did it over heat??
chrysler doesnt seem to know.is this a problem that is on going with sebrings? car never did put out a lot of heat till after driven for about 5miles. i asked why they didnt flush the system and replace thermostat and answer was that there tests didnt warrent it. told them the car was from florida and to check antifreeze for proper mixture thinking someone may of put wrong mixture in.
anyone have any ideas or has had the same problem?

From your list, it sounds like the basic culprits have been checked. The one thing that can happen in the very cold is the radiator fins being blocked by ice or snow. Is this a possibility in your situation?
