Default Question! Has anyone changed front clips?

Hello,
Have a curious question. Has anyone changed front clip (left and right front fenders, grill, facia, bumper and headlamps) from a 2G to a 1G??

It really looks like a do able thing and what an upgrade it would make to my 1G.... ???

I would not expect this to add to the re-sale value of the car. Any knowledgeable buyer would look at that and ask, 'What is he hiding?'
Long and the short of it is, you'll spend lots of money creating something that is worth less than what you had to begin with.

Well you do have a good point, however that really is not my point. Just looking at the future possibilities for modernization of what I have, and resale is not on the table nor expected to be.

Thanks for your point of view.
