My auto dim broke in my rear view mirror leaving it cloudy and brown tint, it was like this since i bought it, i finally got my hands on a new mirr, but i cannot seem to get the old mirror off? How do you, it is mounted to the glass looks like it should slide off the bracket on the glass but i can get it, any ideas?

there might be an adhesive attached to the windsheild attach to the bracket that hold the rear veiw mirror you might be able to get it off with some goo gone but not to sure try it and see what happens.

then the mirror might be held on with the bracket by like and round ball and hole lol try pulling it out you might have to give it some force. either that or you can take it to a shop and tell do it but i dont know how much it will cost

i think it more the second one, it has the auto dim, compass and reading lights, itsattached to the windshield, theres a big round black thing that goes over the bracket i think its either for the auto dim or compass when i remove that then its the bracket but there is no screws.... it looks like a cover but i cant get it off at all

Ryan,
Any luck with replacing the rear view mirror? I have 02 sebring lx and have the exact same problem. Any advice or lessons learned would be great. Thanks. JT
