Default Seat Belt Alarm

hi,

this is my first post, so let me start off by saying hi..

I recently bought a nearly new Sebring Convertable, but unfortnuately it didn't come with the owners manual..

I really find the seat belt alarm annoying, especially when I'm in line for something. I normally wear my selt belt but there are times during slow moving traffic when I don't need it on.

What I don't need though is 5solid minutes of ping ping ping..

how do I turn it off? Normally there is a combination to do.

I asked Chrysler, but they wanted me to book the car in to disable it !!!! Yeah like i'm gonig to spend 1hrs labor for a 5sec job..

Can anyone please have a look in the manual for me and tell me how to do it?

Many thanks in advance.

actually there is a simpe mod to take care of this. under the seat is prolly two wires coming from teh floor to the seatbelt. depending on how its activate you either connect teh pos and neg together with a connector or just tape or just unplug it. i just unplugged it on my cavalier i use to have and it took care of the problem. hope its that easy for you too.
