Similarities between 2006 Touring and regular 2001 model
Hi, I'm new to the forums. I just purchased a used 2006 Sebring Touring model and unfortunately (already) got myself into a small accident, nothing serious however the front of my vehicle is pretty damaged. I need to replace the front fender, grill, hood and one or two other smaller parts. It is currently in the care of a mechanic but until I come up with the money to pay him he cannot order the parts. However I am looking to save myself a little money because he suggested ordering all new parts.
Upon looking online for a used car to use for the parts I found a 2001 Sebring model, after doing a little research I've read that models from 2001-2006 have very similar body shapes. I was wondering if I purchase the 2001 model to use for repairs will any of the front parts fit my 2006 Touring to save myself on the expenses?
Thanks!

Don't do it. The 2001 compared to the 2006 is styled differently. If you cobble it together you will wind up with something that will have serious re-sale problems. Nobody will want to buy it.
You also didn't note whether the model is the same. Parts from the sedan may not fit the convertible and coupe parts definitely will not fit anything else.
If you decide to go the used part route, make sure the model is the same and confine your search to the same styling generation: 2004-2006.
Don't wory about "Touring" vs "LXi" differences. Those lettering badges will peel off with a heat gun and plastic scraper.
