Default THINKING ABOUT A SEBRING - COMMENTS PLEASE

Im thinking about finding a 97-00 convertible. I have already read here that I should stay away from the 2.7 and that the trannys are isssues on many model years. I have owned an 95 Acclaim over 100k traded in 99, 3 Dodge Rams current 06 Mega Cab, a 99 Grand Voyager SE 204k only tranny replacement at 190k- just wrecked and reason Im looking for something else ...Wife now drivin an 06 Caravan SXT.

All of these vehicles have been good to me, however, maintenance is key.

Can the current owners and maybe Chryslertech please provide insight on what I should be looking for. I ususally go to a used car lot with a check list so I dont forget anything. Just looking for some pointer from the horses mouth.

Thanks

Have had 3 Sebring Limited convertibles...2002, 2005 and currently driving the 2008 hard top. Obviously could not be happier. No problems...no issues!

Get a low mileage convertible, 99-2000 as these cars come with the 2.5L V6 motor and not the crappy 2.7L chrysler made.
Heck if you look hard enough you can find the "LIMITED" package which has everything in it, leather, chrome wheels, 4 wheel disc brakes, abs, traction control.

Personally i would skip the convertibles save for 99-2000, and then 2007-PRESENT, so there you have it, those are the years i'd recommend a convertible, good luck hunting

Sincerely
