Default What is this called?

I need to replace this gasket. It is where the right half shaft comes out of the transmission, which is a manual 5 speed. Thanx!!

It might help if you stated what model and year this car is. It might help further if you put an arrow to the part you are asking about.

Try going to chryslerparts.net and see if you can find a diagram.

From what I have seen on this forum and others, Chrysler has done a poor job of stocking parts for manual transmission vehicles. Apparently there just wasn't much of a market.

I gotta learn not to try to post when I'm half asleep. It is a 2004 Sebring convertible, 2.7, manual 5 speed trans. What i need is the gasket that goes behind the part in the 2nd pic with the 4 visible bolts bolted through it. The right side half shaft goes through it. I am gonna try to download another pic so lets see if it works. I loaded a 3rd pic in the original post to show a close-up of the part.

From the looks of it, you won't be able to replace that gasket without pulling the halfshaft out. In that case, you should probably replace the shaft seal, which is a more likely source of a leak than the flat gasket.
It doesn't look like Chrysler stocks replacement parts for the manual transmission, but you can always cut your own flat gasket out of a sheet of gasket material, and I would suspect that the shaft seal is almost certainly a standard off-the-shelf part that you could find knowing its dimensions.
A good transmission shop would be a place to start asking.

Making the gasket was my way of thinking, and I agree, I've got to pull the halfshaft out, and that seal may well be my source of the leak, but the fluid doesn't seem to be coming from the axle seal. I wanted to have this gasket just in case. Thank you for your advice, and I'll post what I find.

Yeah, let us know. I've seen posts here from people who can't find parts for their manual transmission vehicles.
