These references caught my eye because DCX eliminated the 7/70 powertrain warranty for 2006 models, and AFAIK it hasn't been reinstated for '07 (why would it be "off" only the one model year?). The only thing available (other than an extended warranty) is the 3/36 bumper-to-bumper warranty.

Looks like the article was a rehashed version (with some lack of attention to 7/70 details) of the original 2005 press release.
