Default 2012 300c hemi - lost coolant

Looking for ideas here hoping you can help.

I parked today and noticed a ton of coolant under the car when I got out. All radiator hoses and heater core hoses are secure. It’s a mess under the car tho on driver side. Coolant sprayed everywhere. Odd part is the overflow tank was completely full and under pressure.

I had had the radiator replaced 2 weeks ago. Prolly drove only 50 miles since then. Did get a diag code indicating low temp on engine yesterday.

Can a a water pump just fail and have a massive loss of coolant. But why was coolant pressurizing the overflow tank??

thanks for ideas. Did mechanics possibly not burp the system and air caused this event?

Default Update — 2 days later.

I hate to talk to myself but here goes.

Update — took it back to shop that did the radiator. Passed the pressure test. They say it must have had an air bubble AND they overfilled the coolant. That is why coolant level is normal now after spitting a pint or more of coolant from the expansion tank cap.

Does this his sound reasonable. Is it known to be hard to purge air on the Hemi? The bleeder bolt is right there in water pump!! Thoughts ?

The concerns you list are all possible. Bottom line is if coolant level stays at full, temp is right, heater works and no more leaks you're good!
