Default 300 Base model 2006, tranny slipping

I just bought this car Friday, 25th, its an automatic, V6 2.7 liter engine, has around 550 miles on it, with a normal acceleration, it seems like when shifting from 1st to 2nd gear that its slipping, but I could be wrong, Im not an expert when it comes to cars. Any help is appreciated.

Take the car from a dead stop up a hill, with a load and acclerate hard (no wheel spin) see if it moans at you.

Seattle I notice you had a tranny slip problem also, were you able to fix your problem? thanks for the advice, I will try this out when I have a chance. But what do you mean by moans at you exactly? And what if it does or does not moan at me after this test, what does it mean?

What i mean is that when torque is applied to the transmission and drive line from the engine, ie stepping on the gas hard, i get a sound as if the connection between them is not fully connected a vibration that you can actually feel in the body of the car, 2 soft metal parts that are supposed to hook up but don't for a short duration 2-3 seconds. Has to be from a dead stop going up a hill to check for sure. You'll know it it's unmistakable, just make sure you have a full tank of gas and 2-3 other people in the car to make sure.

I will let you know once I have some people in the car with me to try it out. Also this morning leaving my house the tranny seemed fine, but once i got off the freeway for work, from a dead stop it seemed to slip maybe 2 times out of 6-7 stop lights, but when i left work the tranny seemed to be working fine, no problems at all.
