Default 99 300 won't start

Hi all-
First time posting but long time listener. I have a problem with my 300m and I was hoping someone here could help me out.
It started when my wife filled up our 1999 300m, (3.5) and she drove off from the gas station. She made it about 2 miles and the car died and has never restarted since. I first suspected a fuel filter. When I saw that I would have to drop the tank to get to it, I thought maybe I can check some other things first. I did verify that they pumped gas and not diesel into my car. It was gas. I read on-line that the crank sensor on these 3.5 engines causes many stalling problems. I changed the crank sensor, and still no start. K. Now I was frustrated, so I broke out the manual for the car and looked at the wiring diagrams. With more looking and probing, I determined that there was no constant 12v to the coils. I found no ground trigger from the CPU to the Automatic Shutdown relay. Bad CPU right? well, bought one and had it programed to my vin and mileage. Installed new CPU, still no start. Only error code I get is battery disconnected within last 50 starts. I have read others having this same error code, but their car still runs. Mine does not. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
